# Genwave - WordPress, rebuilt for the AI era

Genwave is an AI layer for WordPress, not a replacement for it.

- **Genwave Agent** runs your WordPress. It reads the real installation, plans the steps and executes real actions on the live site, with a preview before anything changes.
- **Genwave Studio** builds what your visitors see. It converts the parts of the site AI should shape (layouts, sections, product presentation, styling) and preserves the WordPress functionality the business depends on (WooCommerce checkout and payments, login and registration, My Account, forms and their integrations, plugin-driven features).

## Genwave Agent

The AI that actually operates WordPress. Describe what you want in plain language, in any language; Agent understands the context of your site, plans, previews and executes.

### How a request becomes a result

1. **Your request**: for example "Add a product for the new espresso beans, put it in the Coffee category and create a weekend coupon."
2. **Agent reads your site**: store, categories, existing coupons, theme, plugins, error logs, whatever the request needs.
3. **Actions**: creates the product, assigns the category, creates the coupon.
4. **Result**: product live, coupon active. Every action is shown before it runs and confirmed by the user.

Studio moves the visual layer of a WordPress site beyond traditional page builders while WordPress keeps running the business underneath. Not "headless WordPress" as a project: a selective conversion that keeps critical flows on WordPress.

### Selective conversion: convert what should change, preserve what already works

- **Converted to the AI-native front**: layouts and sections, components and cards, product presentation, blog and page design, responsive behaviour, styling and motion.
- **Preserved on WordPress**: WooCommerce checkout and payment gateways, login and registration, My Account, forms and their integrations, plugin-driven features (bookings, memberships, courses, community).
- **Understood and carried over**: SEO plugin data, custom fields, custom code and hooks, special plugin behaviour, tracking, consent and chat widgets.

### WooCommerce

New storefront designed by conversation; products, prices, stock and variations stay live from WooCommerce; the cart works on the new front; checkout runs on the customer's existing WooCommerce checkout with the same payment gateway, coupons, shipping and taxes. Genwave does not recreate payments.

### Forms

The form is rendered in the new design and submitted through the WordPress form plugin already in use, so validation, email notifications, CRM integrations, webhooks, file uploads, conditional logic and custom hooks keep working. Fully supported: Contact Form 7, WPForms, Gravity Forms, Fluent Forms. Recognized and handed to WordPress where needed: Ninja Forms, Formidable, Forminator, Elementor forms.

### SEO

Studio reads the metadata held by the site's SEO plugin (Yoast SEO, Rank Math, SEOPress, All in One SEO) and outputs it on the new front: titles, descriptions, canonicals, social tags. Redirect plugins (Redirection, Simple 301 Redirects, Safe Redirect Manager) are carried over.

### Other plugins Studio recognizes

Page builders (Elementor, Gutenberg, Divi, WPBakery, Beaver Builder, Bricks: the conversion reads the rendered page), Advanced Custom Fields, WPML and Polylang, consent tools (CookieYes, Cookiebot, Complianz and others), chat widgets (Tawk.to, Crisp, Tidio, Intercom, HubSpot, WhatsApp and others), review widgets, popups, The Events Calendar, analytics (Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, Hotjar, Clarity). Caching plugins are not needed on the new front because it is served from the edge.

### How a conversion runs

1. **Analyze**: reads the live pages and measures the design itself (fonts actually loaded, corner radius, spacing rhythm, brand colours from the CSS).
2. **Sort**: checkout, account pages, forms and plugin-driven pages are marked to stay on WordPress; visual pages are queued for the new front. The list is shown before anything is built.
3. **Compose and verify**: pages are assembled from validated section designs, never free-form code; a visual check compares each new page with the original on desktop and phone and repairs shortfalls.
4. **Publish**: a preview first; nothing visitors see changes until the customer presses Publish. Later edits in WordPress sync to the live site automatically, without AI credits.

### Editing by conversation

"Make the hero feel more premium", "show four products per row on desktop and two on mobile", "turn these cards into a carousel", "let visitors save products to a favourites list". Each request becomes a draft with preview, publish, keep editing or discard; a published front can be rolled back or switched off. Studio can also start from nothing: it asks about the business, builds the WordPress site and then designs the front.

### Hosting

Your site, your hosting, your choice. Customers keep their existing WordPress hosting; the new front is served from the edge and talks to the site where it is. Genwave hosting is an optional managed alternative, never a requirement.
